Pilots must hold a minimum of a BMFA “A” Certificate to fly without supervision, but we do welcome novice pilots, and our experienced club instructors can carry out training sessions by arrangement.
All members must have a valid BMFA (or LMA equivalent) membership.
All pilots must take a theory test and register with the CAA before flying model aircraft outdoors in the UK, and all models must display a CAA operator ID.
We expect all pilots to fly in a safe and considerate manner, comply with the requirements of the Air Navigation Order , and BMFA Safety Codes at all times.
Free flight or control-line flying are not permitted, but we do allow helicopters and multi-copters under certain conditions.
IC and electric models can be flown dawn to dusk, 365 days a year.
Our field is suitable for sports jets, but members who want to fly them, must get a club jet approval rating.
Become a member of one of the best model flying clubs in the country with great planes, a big patch, and nice members.
